The National Commendation Conference for Fighting the COVID-19 Pandemic kicked off in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing at 10:00 a.m. on September 8, 2020. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of PRC and Chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission, presented the national medals and honorary titles to the recipients and delivered an important speech.
The conference also gave recognition to individuals, organizations, outstanding members of CPC and outstanding grass-roots CPC organizations in the battle against the epidemic. He urged Party committees and governments at all levels to take epidemic prevention and control as the top priority of their work and exert their best effort to contain the outbreak in the epicenter – Wuhan.
